ZOOMLION has achieved a significant milestone in smart mining with the large-scale deployment of nearly 100 autonomous mining trucks across multiple sites in China. The unmanned trucks, operating in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, have demonstrated reliable performance in extreme conditions including temperatures as low as -30°C and strong winds.

The autonomous haulage system integrates ZOOMLION's hybrid and electric mining trucks with a full-stack intelligent control platform. The system enables autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, path planning, and coordinated loading with excavators.
The performance results are compelling. At a large open-pit mine in Xinjiang, 40 autonomous trucks have been operating 18 hours daily in continuous service since early 2026, with equipment availability exceeding 95%. The unmanned operation has significantly improved safety by reducing on-site personnel, cut labor costs through reduced manpower requirements, and increased overall transport efficiency by approximately 10%.

The company has also unveiled its Mine Smart Supervision Platform 2.0 and Mine Operation & Diagnosis Platform 2.0, which stream real-time equipment data to the cloud for monitoring, fault prediction and maintenance tracking.
