On July 15, HANGCHA Group officially launched its U.S. subsidiary — Hangcha America Smart Logistics (HASL) — in Houston, Texas. The opening ceremony was attended by senior leadership from HANGCHA Group, Hangcha Intelligent, and its North America subsidiary, along with key strategic partners including Walmart and local collaborators.

As a core component of HANGCHA’s global strategy, HASL will provide end-to-end intelligent logistics solutions for North American customers, covering planning, implementation, and operations. Its offerings include AGVs/AMRs, heavy-duty autonomous vehicles, inspection robots, driverless forklifts, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), new energy forklifts, and logistics software integration — all supported by a localized expert team.

During the event, Mr. Ren Haihua, Chairman of Hangcha Intelligent, emphasized HASL’s mission to become a technology enabler for the North American supply chain, leveraging millimeter-level navigation precision and proven deployment in over 1,000 application scenarios. He highlighted that in 2024, Hangcha’s intelligent logistics systems surpassed RMB 1 billion (approx. USD 140 million) in contract value, marking a successful transformation from equipment provider to total logistics solutions integrator.

To date, HANGCHA has deployed over 7,000 AGV-based systems globally, operating smoothly across clients like Procter & Gamble, BMW, JD.com, and Huawei. The company is currently investing over RMB 1 billion to build a high-capacity automation equipment production base, scheduled for completion by the end of 2025. HANGCHA is also accelerating the development of AI-driven logistics robotics, integrating AI and 5G technologies into next-generation humanoid intelligent systems.

Mr. Ren reaffirmed that HANGCHA will leverage the close collaboration between its U.S. team and global headquarters to deliver smarter, more efficient logistics services across North America and beyond.

Mr. Zhang Junjun, General Manager of HANGCHA International, stated that the U.S. is a strategic cornerstone in the company’s global expansion. Since establishing its U.S. headquarters in Charlotte in 2017, followed by service centers in Houston and Los Angeles, HANGCHA has localized R&D efforts to better serve regional markets. The launch of HASL strengthens this commitment, enabling tighter integration across R&D, manufacturing, and distribution to deliver high-efficiency logistics solutions to North American customers.

Backed by a network of nearly 20 overseas subsidiaries and 300+ global dealers, with over 40% of total revenue generated overseas and annual global sales exceeding 100,000 units, HANGCHA ensures rapid-response, localized service worldwide.

Mr. Li Siwei, General Manager of HASL, outlined a three-pronged localization strategy:

Promote AGV logistics systems and new energy forklifts to help clients reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Build a dedicated local sales and rental team to accelerate market penetration.

Enhance dealer support through professional training, performance incentives, and responsive after-sales services.

Relying on the infrastructure of Hangcha USA and an established parts network, HASL will offer even faster service response times.

The establishment of HASL marks a significant step in HANGCHA’s North American localization. Moving forward, HASL will continue driving technological innovation, working closely with regional partners to support the manufacturing, logistics, and new energy sectors in achieving smarter, more sustainable growth.
